IBERCISA has got a contract with Erin Shipyard from Manaus (Brazil) to supply 64 anchor winches for the bridge built by ODEBRECHT of more than 3, 5 km that allows sailing underneath.
This civil work is financed by Amazonia's government.
The anchor winches allow to place and moor the barges and adjust its position according to the river flow level variations, its difference varies from winter to summer by more than 7 meters.
The order consists of supplying:
24 Anchor winches for a Ø 64 mm chain.
40 Anchor winches for a Ø 38 mm chain.
12 independent power-packs to action mentioned anchor winches.
The total value of the contract is more than $ USA 3 million.
IBERCISA is shipping 24 units of 64 mm. + 8 independent power-packs for the first 4 barges, and in 3 weeks time it will ship the 40 anchor winches of 38 mm. + 12 power-packs to complete the order.
Brazil is showing up like a very interesting and dynamic market for IBERCISA as it, nowadays, means the 25% of the invoicing.
IBERCISA is, nowadays, strongly positioned in Brazil within Towing, AHTS and Offshore markets.
IBERCISA is planning to enlarge its facilities adding new numerical control machinery in order to continue its growing path within the foreign market.
The 85% of the production is assigned to export: Brazil, Russia, China, Taiwan, Holland and Singapore are its main markets.
