New real-time control technologies

This project has been co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), through the Multi-Regional Operational Programme for Smart Growth 2014-2020.

Objectives and results

General project objective: to develop new technologies for sizing, control, and real-time active compensation of wave motion for load control in the naval, offshore, and oceanographic research sectors. New real-time control technologies have been developed and validated, which IBERCISA is integrating into new products for the maritime sector.

A new calculation model that allows precise sizing of systems with traction winches and storage winches.
A simulation model to evaluate the active compensation capacity that a hoisting system with a traction winch can achieve.
A new control algorithm for active compensation, integrable into a PLC.
A simulation model that allows predicting the compensation capacity both in new systems and in retrofitting cases.
